Vía Célere Innovation Room: BIM technology

BIM technology, or as its acronym indicates Building Information Modelling, is a technology that allows us to construct buildings virtually before making them physically. This allows us to identify, and therefore anticipate, any problems that may arise during the development of the project in aspects such as structure, facilities, carpentry, etc.

Although knowledge about this technology is increasingly widespread, the reality is that not all companies are currently applying it.

At Via Célere we have been working with BIM for 7 years, and over this time it has been constantly evolving: from BIM 3D to sequence-based BIM 4D, that is, we add the time factor, and from there to budget-based BIM 5D, where Vía Célere has developed a template that is being enriched through operations and project meetings.

Implementing this technology does not only imply an investment in equipment and software, but also involves a learning and training process. For that reason, at Vía Célere, we have created the Business Classroom at the UPM Higher Technical School of Building. This course will be taught at the Building School of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and, in the coming years, it is expected to be extended to other universities.

But this is not the only point in which we were pioneers. At Vía Célere innovation is in our DNA, discover this and all the other innovations carried out over the years at celereinnova.es
