Vía Célere appoints Miguel Ángel González Galván as Business General Director

• He previously held the post of Residential Area General Director for the Grupo Lar for Spain and Brazil and Director of Operations and Investments at ING Real Estate, among other positions.
• The appointment seeks to further enhance the growth of Vía Célere and consolidate its leadership position in the market.

Vía Célere announces today the appointment of Miguel Ángel González Galván as its new Business General Director. With this addition, the developer integrates talent and extensive experience into its management team with the aim of further enhancing the line of growth that it has shown in recent years and consolidating its leadership position in the Spanish residential market.

Miguel Angel Gonzalez joins Vía Célere after having directed Grupo Lar’s residential area for more than 4 years, a position that he combined during a phase with that of managing director of the company in Brazil. Before that, he held various positions of responsibility at ING Real Estate Development Spain, as director of development, operations and investments, both in the residential area, as well as in the commercial and industrial area. Likewise, he has also held positions of responsibility in companies such as Sacyr, Riofisa and Comylsa.

As regards his academic background, Vía Célere’s new business general director is a civil engineer, having been awarded his degree from the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid, which he complemented with an MBA from the IE Business School.

Vía Célere consolidates its leadership in the sector

Miguel Angel González Galván comes to Vía Célere at a time when the company is consolidating itself as the main residential developer in the Spanish market, with the delivery of 596 homes in the first six months of 2020 and 1,241 homes in 2019. Likewise, from 1 July 2019 through to 30 June 2020, Vía Célere delivered over 1,600 homes, the highest figure achieved by a housing developer in Spain in the last decade.

With these figures, the company has also managed to deliver 5000 homes over its 12-year history, meaning it has one of the best track records among Spanish developers, thus guaranteeing its intention to stay in the lead in Spain’s residential market. To achieve this objective, in addition, it has the largest portfolio of land on the market, with more than 2.7 million square meters and a capacity to build 22,500 units in various locations on the Iberian Peninsula including 12 Spanish provinces, and the two main cities of Portugal: Porto and Lisbon.
